Yahken (Ken Ken Tha Boss)
Yahken Mabry, (born September 27, 1990) better known by his stage name Ken Ken Tha Boss, is a deep-rooted spiritual rap artist, song writer, producer, director and actor. Yahken can be seen in union SAG major productions since the young age of 3 months. His career began on ABC's "Gabriel's Fire" (starring James Earl Jones and Madge Sinclair) where he played the role of “The adopted baby”. By the age of 8 Yahken appeared in "Kane & Able", "Kill'n Me Softly" and Warner Bros television series "The Parent 'Hood" (starring & directed by Robert Townsend) as Daniel, the friend of the family. Yahken also worked behind the scenes and did many TV commercials including a DC Shoes commercial with Rob Dyrdek.
Yahken has strong ties to the legendary soul group "The Chi-Lites" (Best known for their chart topping hits "Oh Girl", "Have You Seen Her" & "Are You My Woman" Which was later sampled for Beyonce & Jay Z's hit record "Crazy In Love") seeing as his uncle Creadel "Red" Jones was the groups original bass singer. Yahken managed to record his first album by the youthful age of Thirteen, although he had not signed a record deal, had no management support nor sponsorship. Yahken still managed to build a strong team and dominate the underground music scene in St Louis, Mo. Yahken spent the majority of his teenage years in the rough inner city but his popularity and creative gifts lead him to performing and entertaining audiences all over the Midwest & Southern region. Yahken "Ken Ken Tha Boss" is a very influential artist in Americas Underground Hip Hop scene. He's been the main act / host for more than 260 events, featured on Eight CD’s and has collectively sold more than 150,000 units worldwide. Yahken has produced & ghost written songs for international artist & has collaborated original music projects with rappers such as Soulja Boy, etc. Yahken can be seen in multiple videos with fellow St Louis native "Shorty Da Prince" who's currently a host on BET "106 & Park" TV show alongside Bow Wow.
Yahken is currently in the studio recording his solo album "Trillionaire Dreams", executive producing / directing a series of documentaries, developing the hip hop group "Forever Young" and helping his community by being a active public speaker & mentor to the public schools in the inner city of Saint Louis, MO. And Los Angeles, CA.
